The Aspiring Polymath ("TAP," "we," "us," or "our") is a brand operated by Polynexa LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website at https://TAPolymath.com (the "Website"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
TAP is a content blog. We publish essays and articles, and we offer an email newsletter. We keep our data practices deliberately simple, and this policy describes them plainly.
Information We Collect
We collect very little. Specifically:
Email address you give us. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide. We use SendFox, a third-party email service, to store that address and send the newsletter.
Basic technical and log data. Like nearly every website, our hosting and content-delivery provider, Cloudflare, automatically records standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures aggregate traffic without cookies and without fingerprinting individual visitors.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which articles are read and where visitors come from). Google Analytics sets cookies and may process usage data on our behalf; you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
That is the full extent of it. We do not operate user accounts, logins, passwords, e-commerce, payments, shopping carts, user-uploaded content, online chat, surveys, or advertising trackers. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not buy contact information from third parties.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information above to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Website;
- Send you the newsletter you signed up for;
- Understand aggregate traffic patterns so we can make the site better; and
- Comply with the law and protect our legal rights.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
We do rely on a small number of service providers to run the Website, and they process data only on our behalf:
- SendFox stores newsletter email addresses and delivers our emails.
- Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, and cookieless analytics.
- Google Analytics provides aggregate traffic analytics.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or in response to a valid legal request such as a subpoena or court order. If we are ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer to the successor as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Cookies
The Website uses Google Analytics, which sets analytics cookies to measure site usage. Cloudflare Web Analytics remains cookieless. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using the add-on linked above.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. For example, residents of certain U.S. states (such as California under the CCPA/CPRA) and individuals in the EEA or UK (under the GDPR) may have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal information, and to opt out of certain processing.
Because we collect so little, exercising these rights is straightforward: email us at hello@polynexa.llc and we will respond as required by applicable law. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children
The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where Your Data Is Stored
We are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes take effect when we post the revised version to this page, and we will update the "last updated" date below.
